The Three Visitors: The Story of Knock is written by Eleanor Gormally and illustrated by Barbara Croatto.
Suitable for children aged between six and eleven, it tells the story of that Thursday in August 1879, when the small village of Knock received three unexpected visitors. Fifteen villagers witnessed the apparition of Mary, Joseph and St John the Evangelist, who appeared by the wall of the church bathed in a bright white light.
Each of the illustrations was created in pencil and watercolour by Barbara Croatto and we think the effect is just beautiful.
